About The Admissions Process

Welcome to LCIS Admissions

In my role as Director of Admissions, I will be your first point of contact with our school. I have been at LCIS since 1999 and am the proud mother of four LCIS graduates, so I am confident that our school offers the finest education available in The Bahamas. Whether you are making a transition from another country or from another local school, I am here to support you through the process of learning more and applying. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. rtaylor@lcis.bs. 242.362.4774

Applying to LCIS is a multi-step process that varies by grade level.

STEP 1: REGISTER YOUR INTEREST

Complete the link on the home page to join our database, schedule a time to tour our campus or attend an Open House.

STEP 2: APPLY ONLINE

Complete the application and submit supplemental recommendations, transcripts and financial aid/scholarship application as needed. Applicants cannot be considered for admission until their file is complete.

STEP 3: VISIT CAMPUS

Our younger students come to campus in January for individual or group sessions to assess their readiness for school. Applicants for Grades 6 - 11 will be scheduled for an interview with the Academic Coordinators.

STEP 4: ENTRANCE EXAM

Students applying to Grades 3 - 11 will take the CAT4 assessment as part of the process. For students who are non-native English speakers, a diagnostic entrance exam will also be administered to assess the students' baseline and potential needs for support.

Typically, families begin the application process in the fall during the priority admissions window, but applications are accepted year-round if space is available.  Please see the important dates below and the application checklists in the left menu.
