The quality of an LCIS education is proven as our students meet or exceed the international or national norms on exams such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, PSAT, SAT and BGCSE. On average, 85% of LCIS students achieved the full IB diploma, beating the worldwide average by 6 points. In Grades 1-9, we use the ERB as a benchmark to our evaluate students’ progress against those in US private schools.

For students of all ages, our curriculum develops academic and personal skills that will allow a child to be happy and successful in school and life. Art, music, and languages are taught regularly from the earliest years.

With over 50 free co-curricular activities, students can explore interests from sailing to steel band, coding to kayaking, and gymnastics to Junkanoo. Beginning in Grade 6, annual off-island trips extend the curriculum. All grade 9’s complete Bronze Certification for the Governor General Youth Awards. Secondary students have additional opportunities to travel and learn, whether it is to Montreal for Model United Nations, Jamaica for a football tournament or Cuba for a Spanish language exchange trip. LCIS is also a member of BAISS and CISA, which provides opportunities for local and international athletic competition.
